Education

Our team follow the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence and provide children with a range of stimulating play activities. We help them learn about themselves and the world around them. We pride ourselves in supporting children to achieve their full potential in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.

Play is an essential part of children’s learning and development and is a core aspect of our educational practice. Our setting promotes hands-on, engaging and inspiring activities to ignite their curiosity and works closely with the children and families to explore topics they are interested in learning about.

Development

Our responsive, individualised approach allows us to assess each child on their Developmental Milestones throughout the year and we regularly share our findings with our families.

We use this dialogue with families to enable us to tailor the experiences we offer to support each children’s individual needs. This supports our aim to ensure that children are developing both in nursery and at home.

Family Focused

Our nursery is a registered charity, run by our Management Committee which is made up by parents, guardians & relatives of our children.

Family involvement within the setting is an essential part of how the nursery functions. All families who have children enrolled in the nursery are automatically included as general members of our Management Committee and we rely on everyone helping where they can.

Through open dialogue, feedback and reflection, we encourage our families to be fully involved in their child’s learning and play at the setting.
